Municipalities

Eco-peinture has been working in close liaison with the municipal network ever since the program was set up. More than 50% of the paint and paint containers that are collected currently originate from municipal programs, either through permanent or seasonal drop-off centres, or through annual collections of household hazardous wastes (HHW).

For the benefit of the municipalities with permanent drop-offs points, we have designed bins to adequately collect, store and transport paint residues to the processing location. This type of bin proves to be a cost-effective paint collection and storage system which requires minimal handling on the part of city employees performing this task. This collection tool is presently used in 760 municipalities across Quebec.
