Role
The citizen plays a most important role in paint recovery.
Paint leftovers mainly originate from the citizens and, without them, the operation of recovering, recycling and re claiming paint residues in Quebec would be impossible. During the past ten years, in collaboration with our partners, we have set up 1,400 collection points for the purpose of recovering architectural paint leftovers across Quebec.
The citizens are the leading partners and the ones responsible for the smooth operation of the paint recycling industry. Not only do they hold the raw material, but they have to make it their duty to dispose of paint leftovers in an environmentally friendly manner by means of the 1,400 collection points, which are at their disposal for the collection of paint leftovers in their original containers.
Eco-peinture has been directing its communications to the consumers for several years, informing them that the first step when buying paint is to carefully determine the quantities that are required and to buy only the quantity of paint that is needed in order to keep the residual material to a minimum.
A number of tools for calculating the required quantities of paint are available on the Websites of our various partners. Click here to access the different links.
